Those That I Miss and These that I Enjoy

There are a few things that I miss from the past..Very precious good things that seem like "only yesterday".

First I miss the days when Aubrey was still a baby till toddler years when I got full control of what she'd eat/drink/dress!!!Oh how I loved shopping FOR her clothes, shoes and accessories most especially! The bows, hair ties all the way down to her socks and shoes were all "Mommy's Choice"...But these were indeed yesterday for TODAY I enjoy shopping WITH her ... seeing her trying on those shirts/pants/shorts which she chose herself along with that eager look in her face that hopefully she'd get mommy's approval for the style (and the price lol!!)This is my baby taking her baby steps towards the freedom to choose to express her own self thru her own choice of style! As much as I enjoyed her as a baby...I AM enjoying her now twice as much coz WE are growing together...We now shop together. And when it comes to songs..we even enjoy the same fondness for Taylor Swift!

Second would be those days when John and I used to work together!!!!I miss the feeling of security that even at work,my honey was there to cover my back! Our co-workers love working with us because we work so well together!I miss nights at work when John would brew a pot of coffee and prepare two cups; for him and me then later on would tell everyone that there's fresh coffee for everyone!..But again this was yesterday!Because TODAY I enjoy the "breakfast dates" we do after work because I love and enjoy how we'd just agree on meeting @iHop or Denny's for a quick breakfast! This is more exciting than before when we'd just dropped by for breakfast before going home together.TODAY I love and enjoy the idea that we'd actually meet at the place with two separate cars..And oh I have to mention too that one more good thing about us not working together is the fact that he gets to drive me to work then pick me up on days that am working and he's not..LOL!I feel like a princess waiting at the lobby for my ride.

And I only thought about this just now but am missing a good few hundred dollars in my first paycheck now as a permanent staff..Well not because am missing hours but because just last month my pay was obviously higher with my status as a traveler nurse!Ha ha!So that was yesterday again..coz TODAY I AM in a better position..My status is more stable/I AM secured and I Am actually thankful coz just a few days after my travel assignment ended last April 4th,I had two ready options available..I immediately had two good job offers right away!I picked one and I started April 13 with my new job.

And so my point here is that "NOW is what matters"...Savor every moment...Find fulfillment/happiness in everything around you right now..Coz just like the way you are missing your yesterdays..your now will soon be a thing of the past..And the past has NO power coz we CANT change the past.So why not be in the moment of now in your life that you will be fond TOMORROW of looking back ?

PS.. I havent read the book yet but I can tell that the book "the Power of NOW" is a good read!!!I am highly recommending...I will add it to my book case soon.
