New Blog...New Job..or New Job ..New Blog...

As my friends know,I had been a traveling nurse for a few years now with my honey John who is also an RN like me..since 2005 to be more precise..The luxury of being a travel RN is that you get to enjoy higher pay(this is number 1);you get to meet new friends;you get to see new states, new cities and you get to enjoy new environment every now and then..With these you must be flexible;very very flexible. And I had learned how to be flexible not just on the road and on the cities but on the hospitals as well..

I knew then back when John and I started our careers as travel nurses that our travel nursing career will come to an end at some point...as to when and where and how..we didnt really know...But the economic situation in the country plays a major major role as to why we decided that its time to settle down in what we can call our "home hospital"....

Circumstances in the past year had brought us to work in two different hospitals. He decided to join Tacoma General Hospital where he just ended his last travel assignment contract while I decided to join a small community hospital very close to the city where we currently live.Despite a job position offer in my last travel assignment contract which is a sister company of where John is currently working ( Tacoma General)..i decided to join this new hospital for a few good reasons..Number one: higher pay rate! Number two : so much closer to where we live.Number three : my uncle had referred me to this hospital where he also works as an RT (Respiratory Therapist) meaning he is entitled to some few hundred bucks of bonus for recruting me on board.

So far so good...new job...new opportunities. We are really blessed and grateful that we were not unemployed for a very long..

Till my next post and for my next one..I will be posting updates about me since my last blog (from my old blog) which was about a year ago...
